A waste processing plant was commissioned in Zhytomyr at the end of 2022. It processes 100,000 tons of solid household waste annually and creates 36,000 tons of SRF fuel (fuel from waste).

Additionally, the Zhytomyr oblast and city have bioenergy resource potential:

• the total area of forest land is 1,094.4 thousand hectares;
• the region’s overall stock of forest enterprises is 164.2 million m³;
• agricultural businesses utilise more than 550,000 hectares of land for crop production in the region;
• about 40% of agricultural residues, which are left after harvesting the crops, are simply burned.

We offer the investment project “Construction of a combined heat and power plant (working on RDF fuel and biomass)”.

Plant capacity:

• heat – 30.0 MW
• electric power – 10.0 MW

Taking into account the current legislation of Ukraine as well as the current tariff for district heating services in Zhytomyr, the city is ready to purchase:

• heat – 30.0 EUR/MWh (including VAT);
• electric power – 130.0 EUR/MWh (including VAT)
