The Zhytomyr City Council received an honorary award for its reliable partnership and perseverance in implementing a local initiative within the framework of the GIZ-UNDP project “Supporting the Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities”. The award was presented to the City Council Secretary Halyna Shymanska on December 2, 2024, during the conference “State of Local Self-Government: Challenges and Prospects” in Kyiv.
As part of this project, the Entrepreneurship Lab initiative is being implemented in Zhytomyr. This project envisages the creation of a modern production space on the basis of the Center for Vocational Education in Zhytomyr (5 Seletska St.). “The Entrepreneurship Lab will provide micro and small businesses with access to high-tech equipment for small-scale production in the areas of woodworking, metalworking, and 3D modeling. In addition, it is planned to set up a coworking space for entrepreneurs and students to work together.
This initiative is aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, especially in times of war, and contributing to the economic recovery of Ukraine.
