The event was part of the international program “Mission-Oriented Economy”, in which Zhytomyr participates together with Khmelnytskyi, Bucha, and Slavutych. The program is implemented within the “Mayors for Economic Growth” (M4EG) initiative, funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine.

The coworking meeting became the first step in shaping a shared vision for Zhytomyr’s development and defining the community’s mission. Through cooperation between business, education, and civil society, the city will be able to lay the foundation for innovative solutions, new opportunities for entrepreneurship, and attracting investment.

Within the program, Zhytomyr will receive financial support to develop a portfolio of innovative projects (USD 20,000) and will also be eligible for additional funding of up to USD 120,000 for the implementation of specific projects aimed at the community’s economic transformation.
