The first module of the Export School project, implemented under the EU4Business: SME Recovery, Competitiveness and Internationalization Facility, has been launched in Zhytomyr today.
The project aims to strengthen the market position of local producers in the national and international arenas.
“We talked directly to entrepreneurs to understand what businesses need today to develop and increase their production. And it was the wish of entrepreneurs to hold the Export School to work not only in the domestic market but also to enter international arenas. In recent years, it has been difficult for everyone, difficult for the state, and especially for your business. After all, the development of the state depends on how you, the entrepreneurs, work. And today you have the opportunity to gain new knowledge. We hope that it will be useful and that your business will be able to operate successfully and develop our country’s economy,” said Svitlana Olshanska, First Deputy Mayor.
The first stage of the Export School is to organize and conduct training for seven days for representatives of local manufacturing businesses that are planning or have already started exporting.
“Today, individual entrepreneurs, managers, heads of small and medium-sized enterprises in the light, food, metalworking, and woodworking industries, registered in the Zhytomyr City Territorial Community, who are either existing exporters or planning to start exporting, have gathered in this room. We have set ourselves the goal of providing you with information and resources to improve your business,” says Borys Pakholiuk, director of the City Development Agency, a municipal institution.
“I am a representative of a company that produces cereals. We grow, pack and sell our product. We have a large production plant. Now we work only for the domestic market. We want to enter the European market. We have no experience at the moment. I want to gain new knowledge here, at the lectures,” says Vasyl Savchuk, the cereal mill’s financial director.
The next stages of the Expo School will include
providing individual consultations on export activities;
an experience exchange program with successful local companies and entrepreneurs (B2B meetings);
support for the participation of local enterprises in international and national exhibitions, trade missions, fairs, etc;
Providing technical assistance to local entrepreneurs in establishing external business relations.
The training sessions of the training program will take place on July 28-29; August 04-05; August 11-12 and August 17. Link to the registration: HERE
