On November 21, Serhii Sukhomlyn attended the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Anti-Corruption Initiative of the European Union in Ukraine.
The meeting was chaired by the head of the Department of European Neighbourhood Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the European Union in Ukraine, heads of the anti-corruption beneficiary institutions of the Programme of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), the High Anti-corruption Court of Ukraine (HACC), the Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine (SFMS), the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA).
The Mayor of Zhytomyr, the city which is a partner within the Programme “Integrity Cities”, shared his impressions of the cooperation between Zhytomyr City Council and the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine.
To recap, the Project “Integrity Cities” is a part of the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative supported by the EU and co-financed and implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. Today it is the greatest programme providing technical support for Ukraine in the field of corruption control and prevention.
The implementation of the project in Zhytomyr is now possible due to the fact that the City Mayor Serhii Sukhomlyn signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative on July 23, 2018.
