A letter of intent to cooperate was signed by Zhytomyr Mayor Serhiy Sukhomlyn and Lublin Mayor Krzysztof Żuk.

“Lublin has sheltered a huge number of Ukrainians, including many Zhytomyr residents. When we had to transport children with cancer to Switzerland, Lublin gave the children, their families and the doctors who accompanied them a place to rest on the way. You also provide a great deal of help to the cancer patients from Zhytomyr who undergo treatment at your hospital. This is not the whole list of support. Our official history of friendship is just beginning. But this is the protocol. In fact, this friendship has always been tangible. Especially in difficult moments for us,” said Sukhomlyn.

“Zhytomyr is another Ukrainian city with which we want to formalize long-term cooperation, and the first step is a signed letter of intent. In the context of the ongoing war, this is an important gesture of support,” Krzysztof Żuk.
