On January 27-28, representatives of the Zhytomyr City Council and the municipal institution “City Development Agency” of the Zhytomyr City Council took part in a two-day training for Ukrainian municipalities held in Kyiv as part of the Second Comprehensive Training Program. The initiative is being implemented by the Association of Ukrainian Cities with the support of GIZ and UNDP and funded by the German Government.
12 communities, exchange of experience, new knowledge and effective development tools – all this was part of the event aimed at increasing the capacity of municipalities in the field of economic recovery.
Zhytomyr presented its initiatives, which are being implemented with the support of UNDP, aimed at developing the local business environment, supporting entrepreneurs and creating a modern space for work, cooperation and training.
The key topics of the training include
– building sustainable communities in difficult conditions
– attracting investment and effective resource management
– support for local businesses and economic development
Speakers at the event included experts in local government and municipal infrastructure rehabilitation, including representatives of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, UNDP, the Higher School of Public Administration, and educational institutions.
