An Italian company Ferplast-Ukraine will build a factory in Zhytomyr on the territory of a former factory. The new factory will specialize in production of pet supplies.

It is planned to start the construction of production facilities and the head office on Promyslova Street in October. It has been pointed out that all necessary equipment has already been purchased.

The amount of investment is EUR 10 million. In addition, technologies from Slovakia will be introduced, and 600 jobs will be created for the citizens of Zhytomyr.

The decision on approval of the documents on land utilization and the right to use the specified land plot was taken on March 29, 2021 during the sixth special session of Zhytomyr City Council.

‘We put trust in reliability and capacity for work of the Ukrainians; we also intend to introduce the technology of working with glass here – production of aquariums’, said executive director of Ferplast-Ukraine.

The enterprise buys raw materials for production in Ukraine. At first, pet supplies will be produced from metal, timber and plastic; later on it is planned to introduce the technology of working with glass (aquariums).

The company Ferplast-Ukraine has operated in Ukrainian market since 1999.
