New favorable conditions for business environment outgrowth are being created in Zhytomyr.

On February 13, a Memorandum on cooperation and partnership was signed. It is aimed at developing entrepreneurial and innovative environment, accelerating socioeconomic development of Zhytomyr city amalgamated community.

The Memorandum was signed by the Department of Economic Development, Public Utility “City Development Agency” of Zhytomyr City Council and Zhytomyr City Agency for Employment. It is about the creation of space for the development of entrepreneurship, which is going to be based at the Zhytomyr City Agency for Employment. It will provide consultation services in the field of business development as well as arrange training activities (seminars, trainings, entrepreneurship schools, business events) that will contribute to the development of entrepreneurial skills, human capital and organizational capacity of enterprises. The signatories are convinced that such measures will be of better quality and more efficient provided there is cooperation.

From now on, the Department of Economic Development, Public Utility “City Development Agency” of Zhytomyr City Council and Zhytomyr City Agency for Employment will work together on the development of Business Support Centre.

“Support of small and medium-sized business in Zhytomyr is one of the priorities set in the Concept of integrated development of Zhytomyr 2030, Program for the development of small and medium-sized business in Zhytomyr for 2019-2020”, pointed out Mykola Kostrytsia, Director of the Department of Economic Development.

“Any kind of cooperation always makes people and organizations stronger. Therefore, joining efforts of the City Development Agency, the Department of Economic Development and the Agency for Employment has a synergetic effect on the development of infrastructure for the support of entrepreneurship in Zhytomyr. Those events that we have organized separately are now going to be arranged jointly, thus making them of better quality and more effective for the audience. It is expected that our cooperation will affect the quality of events and enhance our capacity to develop entrepreneurial environment in our city. And also develop infrastructure support for small and medium-sized business”, said Borys Pakholiuk, Director of the Public Utility “City Development Agency” of Zhytomyr City Council.

 “Before we had no opportunity, no facilities where we could arrange separate work places, where an entrepreneur of an employer could come and get consultation services or arrange seminars, trainings, testing. Today, all these services will be provided in a newly created center. We are the third party of the signed Memorandum. We expect that our actions and topics will be coordinated, and mostly everything will be arranged at our facilities in the conference hall”, says Valentyna Storozhuk, Director of the Zhytomyr City Agency for Employment.
