On 8 October 2025, the URBACT IV Monitoring Committee approved the creation of 25 new Transfer Networks, including the Entrepreneurship+ Academy, which Zhytomyr has joined.

The Entrepreneurship+ Academy network aims to develop entrepreneurial education among young people and to foster skills necessary for innovation and local economic development.

The lead partner of the network is Albergaria-a-Velha (Portugal), which has been successfully implementing the Entrepreneurship+ Academy programme for over 10 years.

The programme teaches students to think creatively, find innovative solutions, and develop their own projects and business ideas.

Its educational approach is based on the principle of “learning by doing” — learning through practical experience. Students collaborate with local entrepreneurs, NGOs, and companies, enhancing teamwork, critical thinking, and civic engagement skills.
