On July 28, the first EXPORT SCHOOL Module for small and medium-sized enterprises was held 

Are you ready to export, and how to choose a market?

(Assessment of readiness to export and market choice)

Module objective: To provide participants with the opportunity to independently assess the export readiness of their business, to gain basic knowledge on how to choose an export market through information gathering

Module topics:

  • self-assessment of export readiness and action plan for preparation;
  • selecting 3-5 markets for export – how to do it? Defining the criteria;
  • selection of one market using the ranking system.

Maryna Farafonova is an export consultant, trainer for the Export Academy 2021 and 2022, and foreign market analyst. She has over 20 years of experience in international trade. She has prior experience working with businesses that deliver both goods and services.

The EXPORT SCHOOL project is part of a grant competition for systemic support for small and medium-sized enterprises implemented by the Business Development Fund  within the broader EU4Business: SME Recovery, Competitiveness, and Internalization program co-funded by the European Union and the German government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The program aims to support Ukraine’s economic sustainability, recovery, and growth, create better conditions for the development of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), and support innovation and exports.
